Troop Policies

Dues/Fees

- The annual registration fee is $45.00 and fundraisers finance the troop, its activities, registration, insurance and awards.  The registration fee covers the following plus any other items the troop committee deems necessary:  recharter, Boy's Life subscription, insurance, advancements, merit badges, and scout books.

Uniforms

 - It is the policy of the Boy Scouts of America that a unit cannot modify the official uniform, therefore, the official uniform for Troop 750 is, that which is stated in the Boy Scout literature. 

-  Scouts need to be in their uniforms for all Troop meetings and other activities unless otherwise notified by their Scout master.  A uniform consists of a Scout shirt, pants/shorts, belt and buckle, socks, closed toe shoes, neckercheif, slide and hat.  Uniforms and other Scouting items can be purchased at the Scout headquarters, Upas Street., near the S.D. Zoo, Be Ready, Inc., 602 Garrison St., Oceanside or through the BSA catalog.

- Uniforms will be maintained and worn by scouts, the scoutmaster, the assistant scoutmasters, troop leaders and optionally by committee members.

Awards

-  Awards for boys will be reviewed at a minimum, through a quarterly troop board of review and courts of honor semiannually.

Troop Committee

- The troop committee of Boy Scout Troop 750 will govern all activity and shall consist of the following voting members:  Committee Chairperson, Other Committee Members, Treasurer, Secretary, chartered Orgainization Representative, Scout Master, Assistant-Scout Masters, and registered parents of Troop 750 scouts.

- Troop committee meetings will regularly be held on the first Tuesday of the month, unless otherwise designated at Aviara Oaks Elementary School Teacher's Lounge, 7:00pm - 8:00 pm.
- Four attending committee members of a regular or specially called meeting on a minimum of 48 hours notice will constitue a quorum.  The committee chairperson will cast another vote to break any tie votes.

- The Troop committee must approve all fundraising activities for any cause.
